KAPA HAKA VIRTUAL PERFORMANCES AND FILMING

Kia ora Whānau!
Every year we have performed at the Kapa Haka Festival but this year due to Covid-19 the festival is to be ‘virtual’. Each school is going to be filmed and then just before the end of the year it will be screened online by REAP, Wairarapa.

Greytown School Kapa Haka is going to be filmed on Tuesday 17th November at school. If you have any issues with your child being filmed and this being screened please make urgent contact with either Miss Verstraten nverstraten@greytown.school.nz or Ms Mackenzie dmackenzie@greytown.school.nz

On December 4th we will be performing to the Fellowship Group (formerly Probus I think) at their Christmas lunch to be held at the Greytown Workingmen’s Club. We will just get ready at school and then walk to the performance and back.

Any questions or concerns please feel free to make contact with us.

School Athletics Update

School Athletics day is on this Tuesday.
Sadly looking at the long-range forecast there appears to be a lot of rain on its way this week too. We will make a final decision by 3 pm tomorrow afternoon.
If canceled we will send out further information concerning South Wairarapa Interschool events within the following few days.

Reminders – Friday Half day and Teacher Only Day

Hi everyone

Please remember that

  • school will finish earlier tomorrow due to Pet Day.  You will be able to take your children home after the final parade, which will finish at midday at 12.30.  Please make sure that you tell your child’s teacher before taking them.
  • Tuesday is Teacher Only Day and school will be closed ie: No school until Wednesday!

We are looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible tomorrow and we also hope that you have a wonderful and relaxing Labour Weekend.

Wacky Hair Day

Next Thursday 24th September we are going to have a Wacky Hair Day to support Flo and Milly.
Flo and Milly are going to shave off their hair at 10am to support Child Cancer.

We have the hairdresser booked and our visiting speaker from Child Cancer is already.

We are asking all children to bring a donation, wear mufti and wear a wig or create their own Wacky Hair Style to support this event.

You can also support Flo by making a donation on her Everyday Hero page https://createyourown.everydayhero.com/nz/flo-s-head-shave
Let’s get behind these two girls and raise money for a very worthy cause!
