Parent Evening tonight
Hi everyone
Tonight we have the “Raising Resilient Children” parent evening that we highly recommend.
This event is FREE to all parents and families, and we encourage you to come along as building our children’s resilience is an important life skill to foster.
It will be held at the Kuranui Auditorium at 7pm tonight with coffee and tea provided beforehand.
Kathryn Berkett is an incredible speaker with practical tools and strategies to share. She has a Masters in Educational Psychology, is a certified Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) practitioner and has worked with an extensive list of organisations both nationally and Internationally. She presents in a very practical and down to earth presenter. Parents from her previous sessions have loved her and have taken away a lot of valuable tips that they have put into action.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Change of times to X-country
We have just received information regarding a change in times to the running of some events.

Wai Interschools X-Country
Here is some updated information for the Wairarapa Interschools X- Country at Clareville A&P Grounds on Wednesday, 16th of June (PP Thursday 17th of June).
Any cancellation will be made by 7pm tomorrow (Tuesday night).
There will be a Coffee Cart and Sausage Sizzle so kids can bring some $$ that they are to look after themselves.
Map for parent & whānau parking / access is available in the photos. There is a confirmation of the times for races, though these are still subject to small changes for running time.
School Fundraising Group Meeting Wednesday 9am School Staffroom
Just a reminder we are having a quick Fun Friends Fundraising meeting tomorrow at 9am in the School staffroom for those that can make it.
X Country Notices
If your child gained selection for the Wairarapa Interschool X-Country, we are still waiting on a few notices to be returned. Please get them into the office or back to Mr BW or Ms V, ASAP.
Staff retirement
Hi everyone
It is with sad news for us and happy news for her, that Carol Fergusson our Office Manager has decided that she is going to retire and will be finishing at the beginning of next term. Carol is an incredible asset to our school office and staff team and will be missed.
Carol is going to enjoy spending more time being able to relax, enjoy her hobbies eg: cooking, gardening, travelling and most of all be a grandmother and wife.
As a result, we will be advertising her position in the Wairarapa Times Age as Office Manager with Finance and HR responsibilities.
If you know anyone who has these essential finance, HR and administration skills then you could bring this position to their attention.

Just a reminder that the School disco is tonight.. A change of venue this year to St Luke’s Church Hall.

Kawaka Syndicate (Years 3-4) 5.00 – 5.45pm
Kahikatea Syndicate (Years 5-6) 6.00 – 7.00pm
Kauri Syndicate (Years 7-8). 7.15 – 8.30pm
The theme this year is “The Elements”. There will be chips, lollies and drinks available to purchase.
